Multimedia University MMU
Known as the first private university in Malaysia, Multimedia University (MMU) was first established and set up through Universiti Telekom Sdn Bhd which is a wholly owned subsidiary by TM Malaysia. With campuses in Melaka and Nusajaya, MMU’s Cyberjaya campus serves as a catalyst for development of Malaysia’s ICT industry, following the footsteps of Silicon Valley in the US. Offering a range courses from engineering, computing, informatics, multimedia and management, TM’s initiative to develop the ICT industry by encouraging MMU to serve and fulfil the nation’s human resources needs as it grows to a knowledge economy.
The university campus located in the heart of MSC along with several other institutions such as Limkokwing University of Creative Technology provides several facilities and study spaces for students to enjoy a great learning experience with MMU. Facilities available on campus includes a fully equipped gymnasium and swimming pool for student’s day to day usage. Public transportation such as public buses, KL Rapid are also available for students to commute and travel down through the ERL train service to KL City via KL Sentral which is about 30 minutes away from campus. Similarly, a 10 minute drive to a new shopping destination, iOi City Mall has a number of popular shops and eateries, an ice skating rink and an indoor themed park that would most likely be the ideal place for student’s leisure and entertainment.
