About Iskandar, Johor
Iskandar Malaysia formerly known as Iskandar Development Region (IDR) and South Johor Economic Region (SJER) is the main southern development corridor in Johor, Malaysia. The Iskandar Malaysia was established on 8 November 2006. The project is administered by Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) and was named after the late Sultan of Johor, Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.
Located within Iskandar is EduCity which houses more than 5 overseas universities such as Newcastle University, University of Southampton and University of Reading. Students attending higher education within EduCity can opt to stay within the area known as Student Village. During their leisure time, students can drive down to Legoland situated 10 minutes away by car from EduCity.
